Bright, bright, bright fruit with a sweet, lingering spice and subtle toast. Very fruit-forward, leaning toward jammy. While our Sunset Red blends continue to morph, both in varietal composition and vineyards of origin, the 2014 was blended in a similar style as the 2013: a New World/Old World blend of Chambourcin and Cab Sauv as a base, with Tannat and Petit Verdot to strengthen tannic weight and body, as well as Cabernet Franc for mid-palate. This wine is our first red wine release from 2014, and showcases the bright, warm aromatics and broad mouth-feel many of the future bottlings also show. Pair with turkey chili, pasta, hamburgers, or pork chops.
